Overview

Engage requests can be managed directly from the Engage for Individuals dashboard. This guide explains how to take action on individual requests, perform bulk actions, and understand how request statuses affect what actions are available.

Where actions are available

You can manage Engage requests from the Engage → Individuals dashboard.

Actions are available:

  • On individual requests via the Actions menu (three dots)

  • Across multiple requests using Bulk actions

The actions available depend on the current status of the request.

How to manage an individual Engage request

To manage a single Engage request:

  1. Go to Engage → Individuals in Legl.

  2. Locate the relevant request.

  3. Select the Actions menu (three dots) next to the request.

  4. Choose the action you want to perform.

Depending on the request status, you may see the following actions.

Available actions on Engage requests

Create Engage Request

Use this action to create a new Engage request for the same client.

  • The client’s contact details are pre-filled

  • This is useful when requesting additional or updated information

Download CDD report

If a request is Ready for review or Reviewed, you can download a PDF copy of the CDD report.

You can copy the request link to share with the client if the request is:

  • Created

  • Sent

  • In progress

This allows you to resend the request manually, for example via email.

Change Reviewer

Use this action to update the reviewer assigned to the Engage request.

Close Link

If a request is Created, Sent, or In progress, you can close the request link.

  • This prevents the client from accessing the request

  • This is useful if the client is no longer proceeding with the matter

Force Complete

If a request is In progress, you can force complete it.

  • This completes the request using the information the client has already submitted

  • Any steps not completed by the client will remain incomplete

How to close Engage requests in bulk

You can close request links for multiple Engage requests at the same time using bulk actions.

To close Engage requests in bulk:

  1. Go to Engage → Individuals.

  2. Filter the dashboard to show Created, Sent, or In progress requests.

  3. Select the relevant requests using the checkboxes.

  4. Select Bulk actions → Close links.

ℹ️ Important

Closing links is the only action available in bulk.Other Engage request actions must be completed individually.

What happens next

After you take action on an Engage request:

  • The request status updates automatically where applicable

  • Closed or completed requests remain visible on the dashboard for reference and audit purposes

  • Reviewers can access reports once requests are marked Ready for review

Important information

  • The actions available depend on the current status of the Engage request.

  • Some actions, such as closing links or force completing requests, cannot be undone.
