An Engage request is a structured request created by a law firm user in Legl to collect information, documents, identity verification, and payments from an individual client.
It supports a consistent, auditable onboarding process by guiding clients through required steps online using a secure, firm-branded workflow.

How an Engage request works
At a high level, an Engage request works as follows:
A law firm user creates an Engage request and selects a predefined workflow.
A reviewer is assigned to the request.
The client receives a secure, firm-branded email containing a unique link.
The client completes the required steps online, which may include identity checks and document uploads.
Once completed, the request is returned to Legl and marked Ready for review for the assigned reviewer.
This ensures information is collected in the correct order and stored centrally within the platform.

You can create and manage Engage requests in Legl by navigating to:
Engage → Individuals
From here, you can create new requests, track their status, and access completed workflows.
Permissions and access
Engage requests can be accessed by authorised law firm users, depending on their role and permissions.
Requests may be created by fee earners or onboarding teams.
Requests are typically reviewed by compliance or risk users.
Visibility and actions available depend on your firm’s user permissions.
