How to review an Engage request
Create and send the request. Enter the client's first name, last name, and email, which are the only required details. Add a client reference, matter reference, or reviewer if you need them. Select your workflow, then create and send the request. Automated email reminders are sent to the client.
Track progress in real time. Refresh the page to see how far your client has progressed and which check they are in, for example two of three checks completed. Open the steps panel to see the status of each step, such as basic information, identity, and Proof of Address. Checks that pass are cleared automatically.
Open the request when it is ready for review. Once your client has finished, the request shows "Ready for review". If a check produced a consider result, it also shows "Attention required".
Review each non-conformity. The request lists any items that need attention, for example a potential watchlist match or a financial screening result such as "Unable to match address with Equifax". Select "View detail" to open each one.
Work through the watchlist matches. For each potential match, review the supporting information and select Match or Not a match. You can mark all low likelihood matches as not a match in one action.
Mark each finding as reviewed. As you complete each area, mark it as reviewed. The request then shows which areas have been reviewed and by whom.
Check the Activity trail. Open the Activity panel to see the full audit trail and any internal comments, including who reviewed each area and any actions taken by a risk policy rule.
Review the full application and mark it as reviewed. Once every finding is reviewed, review the full application and confirm your decision.
Download the report. Download the completed CDD report as a PDF if you need it.
What happens next
When you mark the application as reviewed, it is signed off and the decision is logged to the audit trail. The matter team is notified: the fee earner is notified, the CDD report is filed, and re-screening is scheduled for 12 months.
You can reopen and review the application again if you need to, and you can download the report as a PDF at any time.
