Overview

The Overview tab in Risk rules shows how your rules have worked over the last 7 days: how many onboarding issues they resolved with the client automatically, the actions they took, and which rules matched. It shows that your rules are working. It is not a reporting dashboard.

Where you will see this

Select Governance in the left-hand navigation, then Risk rules. The Overview tab opens first. You see the Overview tab if your firm has Custom rules.

What this means

The Overview card

  • Rolling 7 days: the card covers the last 7 days and updates as days pass.

  • Your rules are working or Your policy is working: the percentage of onboarding issues your rules resolved with the client automatically, without your team stepping in.

  • Area: the areas where rules fired, such as Identity Verification or Proof of Address. Each area shows how many of its rules fired and how many times.

  • Action taken: the actions those rules took, such as Ask for a different proof of address or Mark the application as consider. Each action shows how many times it was taken and its share of the total. The lines in the chart link each area to the actions taken.

  • Manage rules: opens your rules, where Admins can turn rules on or off and edit them.

  • The line at the bottom of the card shows how many of the available rules your firm has turned on.

  • See unused rules: shows the rules you have not turned on.

Rules that matched

Below the card, Rules that matched lists each rule that fired in the last 7 days, with the most matches first. Each row shows:

  • When: what triggered the rule, and its area.

  • Then: the action the rule took.

  • Matches: how many times the rule matched.

Use the page numbers at the bottom to see more rules.

Common reasons you might see this

  • Nothing in the chart. None of your rules fired in the last 7 days. This is normal if you have few new onboardings, or if clients are providing what your policy asks for.

  • Few rules live. Your firm has only turned on some of the available rules. Select See unused rules to review the others.

What you need to do

No action is needed. Use the Overview to check your rules are working. To change your rules, select Manage rules.

Important information

  • Non-Admins can view the Overview but cannot change rules.

  • The Overview shows what your rules did. To see what happened on a particular request, open the request.
