Overview
Custom risk rules are built from your firm's own risk policy and are a paid add-on. This guide lists the Custom rules you can set up, grouped by area, what each one checks, and the action it takes by default.
Our Launch team sets up your first rules with you. After that, your admins can change which rules are on and what each one does. Universal rules, which are free for every firm, are covered in a separate guide.

What a rule can do
When a rule's conditions are met, it takes one action. You can change the default to any action available for that area.
Mark the application as consider: the request is flagged for your team to review.
Mark the application as clear: the request clears automatically, even if a check would otherwise need review.
Ask the client to put something right: Legl asks the client to fix it while they complete their request. These actions are:
Ask for the correct identity document
Ask for a signed passport
Require a two-document identity check
Ask for a different proof of address
Require an additional proof of address
Ask for a bank statement
Actions that ask the client to put something right may run additional checks at your standard rates. You set how many attempts a client gets in Configure > Document retry attempts.
