Understanding the Procedures Overview

What the Procedures Overview tab shows: actions taken in the last 7 days and which procedures ran.

Written by Ula Moyse-White

⚠️ CHECK

Two links are placeholder text because the target articles are still drafts: How to set up a procedure in Legl (853594) and What reviewers see when a procedure runs (853595). Add the links when they publish.

⚠️ CHECK

Flag to Paul before publishing: the Area labels on the chart read "Legacy rules · 0 rules" and "Review procedures" twice, and the table footer says "rules" not "procedures". This article does not describe the Area labels until fixed.

⚠️ CHECK

Confirm what firms that are not set up see on the Overview (splash with three how-it-works cards, a sample chart and the Review procedures card).

Overview

The Overview tab in Procedures shows what your procedures have done on requests in review over the last 7 days, and how many of the available procedures your firm has turned on.

Where you will see this

Select Governance in the left-hand navigation, then Procedures. The Overview tab opens first. Only Admins can open Procedures.

⚠️ CHECK

Screenshot suggested (your decision whether to add it): The Procedures Overview tab once procedures are on (demo account). Remove this callout before publishing, whether or not you add it.

What this means

Before your firm is set up

The Overview explains how procedures work and shows an example chart. The example uses sample data, not your firm's activity. To get started, select Get set up for free on the Procedures card in Governance, and our team will be in touch.

Once procedures are on

  • Rolling 7 days, "Your procedures are working": how many procedure actions were taken on requests in review in the last 7 days.

  • Action taken: how often each action was used: Mark as escalate, Add reviewer guidance, Assign the request to a reviewer and Notify by email.

  • [X] of [Y] available procedures are live: how many procedures your firm has turned on. Select See unused procedures to review the rest.

  • Procedures that ran: a table of each procedure that ran, with its WHEN, THEN and how many requests it matched.

  • Manage procedures: opens the Procedures tab, where you can turn procedures on or off and edit them.

What you need to do

No action is needed. Use the Overview to check your procedures are working. To change them, select Manage procedures.

Important information

  • This is your firm's real activity once procedures are on. Only the example shown before set-up uses sample data.

  • Procedures run once per request, when it is ready for review and its checks have finished.

  • Procedures for risk assessments, ongoing monitoring and Pay are coming soon.
