When you open an Ongoing Monitoring alert, AI-assisted review shows a recommendation on whether the flagged record relates to your client, along with a confidence level and the evidence behind it. This article explains what the recommendation and the supporting labels mean, and what you need to do with them.

The recommendation answers a single question: is this your contact? It summarises whether the flagged record is likely to be your client or likely to be a different person, based on the evidence the agent gathered.
Confidence level
Alongside the recommendation, a confidence level indicates how strong the agent considers the supporting evidence to be.
What was flagged and what matched
What was flagged is the reason the alert was raised, such as a politically exposed person classification. What actually matched is the specific detail that aligns between your client and the flagged record, such as a name or an address.
Full comparison results
The full comparison lists each identifier side by side and gives a result for each, showing where your client and the flagged record agree, where they differ, and where no data is available.
Common reasons for a recommendation
The agent weighs a range of factors when reaching a recommendation, including:
Whether the name, date of birth, address, or other identifiers align with your client.
The type and seriousness of the flag, such as a sanction, a PEP classification, or adverse media.
What the source supplied with the alert says, and whether it connects to your client.
What the agent found, or did not find, in its open web research.
What you need to do
The recommendation is guidance to speed up your review. It does not close the alert or make the decision for you. You need to review the evidence, decide whether the flagged record is your client by selecting Match or Not a match, and then select Mark as reviewed.
What happens next
Once you record your decision and mark the alert as reviewed, its status updates on the dashboard and your comment is kept as part of the audit trail.
