Understanding the trust contact page

Use this article to understand what the trust contact page shows in Legl, including trust details, associated individuals, and activity history.


Where to find this

Go to Trusts in the navigation, search for the trust by name, and select it to open the trust contact page.


What you will see

The trust contact page is made up of several sections.

Trust details

The trust panel shows key information about the trust, including the trust name, client reference number, jurisdiction, and tax reference number.

Deed analyser

The deed analyser allows you to upload and analyse a trust deed.

AML checks

AML checks on the individuals associated with the trust β€” such as trustees, settlors, and beneficiaries β€” are visible from the trust contact page.

Activity tab

The Activity tab shows a log of all interactions associated with this trust, including:

  • Engage requests

  • Pay requests

  • CDD reports

  • Payments received

  • Screenings

Associated contacts tab

The Associated contacts tab shows the individuals linked to this trust, including trustees, settlors, and beneficiaries.


What you can do from this page

  • Update trust details by hovering over a field and selecting Edit, entering the updated information, and saving

  • Upload or review a trust deed using the deed analyser

  • View AML check results for associated individuals

  • View the trust's full activity history from the Activity tab

  • Access linked individuals from the Associated contacts tab


Important information

  • If you update a contact's email address, any open requests associated with that contact will be closed. You will need to resend those requests to the updated email address.

  • Most trust details can be updated by hovering over the field and selecting Edit.

  • If you need help with a trust record, contact our Support team.
