Overview
Legl Assist is an AI-powered summary tool built into your CDD report. It analyses the results of your client's due diligence checks and provides a plain-language summary to help you review the report more efficiently.
What you can use Legl Assist for

How Legl Assist works
When you open a CDD report, Legl Assist analyses the check results and generates a structured summary. The summary is split into two parts.
Analysis covers three areas:
KYC and AML: Summarises identity and address verification outcomes, flags any concerns, and highlights where further action may be needed
PEPs and Sanctions: Groups watchlist screening results into priority review and further review, explains why hits were flagged, and provides context to help you assess whether they are relevant to your client
Financial: Summarises financial screening results including any county court judgements, debt collection activity, or data matching issues
Summary provides an overall assessment that brings together the key findings from all three areas and suggests what, if anything, your firm should do next.
Where to find Legl Assist in Legl
Open the relevant Engage request from your Legl dashboard.
Select the CDD report.
Click View summary at the top of the report to open the Legl Assist panel.
From the panel, you can:
Click Add Legl Assist to report to include the summary in the downloadable PDF
Click Copy to clipboard to copy the summary text
Submit feedback on whether the summary was helpful using the Yes or No buttons at the bottom of the panel
Important information
Legl Assist is an advisory AI product. It can contain errors, inconsistencies, or outdated information and should only be used as an aid alongside your firm's own review process.
Legl Assist does not replace your firm's risk-based assessment. You are responsible for reviewing the full report and making your own compliance decisions.
The summary is generated from the data available in the CDD report at the time of review. It does not pull in information from outside the report.
