Overview

When completing identity verification with Legl, you are asked to upload a valid, government-issued photo ID. If you do not have one available, or your ID has expired, you can still continue by contacting your law firm for guidance.

When this applies

This guidance applies if:

  • Your photo ID has expired, or

  • You do not have a valid government-issued photo ID available to use

What to do if you do not have a valid photo ID

Follow these steps if you cannot provide valid photo ID:

  1. On the identity verification screen, click I do not have an ID.

  2. Your law firm’s contact information will appear.

  3. Contact your law firm directly to discuss how to proceed.

Your law firm will advise you on the next steps based on your situation.

What happens next

After you contact your law firm:

  • They will review your circumstances and decide how your identity verification should proceed.

  • Any further steps will be communicated directly by your law firm.

Important information

ℹ️ Important

Legl cannot authorise exceptions to photo ID requirements. Only your law firm can decide how to proceed if photo ID is unavailable.
