Before you start

Reminder emails are sent by your law firm when they are waiting for you to complete a request or make a payment.

ℹ️ Important

Only your Law firm has the ability to stop the reminders.

Step 1: Understand why you are receiving reminders

Your law firm sends reminders when they need you to:

  • Complete a request for information, or

  • Make a payment online

Step 2: Contact your law firm directly

The only way to stop receiving reminders is to contact your law firm. They can review your request and take action on your behalf.

Your law firm can:

  • Confirm whether the request or payment is still required

  • Review the progress of the request

  • Close the request or payment link in Legl

Once the link is closed, reminder emails will stop.

Step 3: Explain your situation to your law firm

When contacting your law firm, let them know if:

  • You have already completed the request

  • You have decided not to proceed with your legal matter

  • You have already paid using a different method

  • You believe the reminder has been sent in error

This helps your law firm update the request correctly and stop further reminders.

What happens next

After your law firm closes the request or payment link, you will no longer receive reminder emails related to that request.
