Overview

This guide explains how to complete Adyen onboarding as a sole proprietor in Legl, from selecting your bank account details through to submitting the sole proprietor flow.

Before you start

  • You complete this within the Adyen onboarding flow, reached from Settings > Pay in Legl.

  • Select this route if your firm is registering with Adyen as a sole proprietor rather than as a company.

Step 1: Begin onboarding

  1. Go to the Company Structure section.

  2. At the bottom of the page, locate the section titled "We need to know about the bank account...". Choose My Name from the dropdown menu, then select Next.

  3. When asked if you are an individual, select Continue as individual.

Step 2: Connect as a sole proprietor

  1. Complete all the required personal details. At the bottom, find the dropdown titled "We need to know about the bank account...", and this time select My sole proprietor name. Select Next.

  2. Complete the address details on the next screen, then select Next.

  3. Review the summary screen, then select Submit.

Step 3: Complete the sole proprietor flow

  1. You will be redirected to a screen with a Sole proprietor details option at the top. Select it to launch the sole proprietor flow.

  2. Fill in the necessary details as prompted.

What happens next

Once you have completed these steps, you will have submitted your sole proprietor onboarding to Adyen.

Important information

  • This flow applies to sole proprietors. Companies (for example, LTDs and LLPs) follow the standard Adyen registration.

  • When prompted about the bank account, select My sole proprietor name at Step 2, not My Name.

  • Only complete the sole proprietor details once you reach the dedicated sole proprietor screen at Step 3.
