Overview
This article explains how to access your Legl account, whether your firm uses single sign-on (SSO) or multi-factor authentication (MFA). It also outlines what to do if you experience issues logging in.
Before you start
Before logging in, ensure that:
You have been added as a user to your firm’s Legl account
You have access to the email address associated with your Legl login
Your organisation’s login method (SSO or MFA) is set up
ℹ️ Important
If you do not have an account, contact your account Administrator to be added as a user.
How to log into your Legl account using single sign-on (SSO)
Single sign-on (SSO) allows you to log into Legl using your organisation’s existing identity provider.
Enter your email address on the Legl login page.
If SSO is enabled for your account, you will be redirected to your identity provider.
Complete the sign-on process with your identity provider.
Once authenticated, you will be redirected back to your Legl account.
How to log into your Legl account using multi-factor authentication (MFA)
Multi-factor authentication (MFA), also known as two-factor authentication (2FA), adds an extra layer of security to your Legl account.
MFA was enabled for all Legl accounts (except those using SSO) on 30 August 2022.
Enter your email address and password.
When prompted, enter the 8-digit verification code sent to your email address from [email protected].
If you do not receive the email after a few minutes, check your spam folder or resend the code from the login page.
Return to Legl and enter the 8-digit code.
Click Sign in to access your account.
ℹ️ Important
Authentication codes expire after 15 minutes.
What happens next
Once logged in, you will be taken directly to your Legl account. If you already have an active session, you may not be logged out but will be asked to complete MFA the next time you log in.
Important information
MFA is required every time you log into Legl unless your account uses SSO
MFA applies to all users added to a Legl account
Authentication emails are sent from [email protected]
