Overview
The Firm Switcher (also referred to as Brand Switching) allows users at firms that operate more than one Legl account to move between those accounts without logging out or using separate login credentials.
Once enabled, users can access all the accounts they have been set up on from a single Legl login. This makes it easier to work across multiple practice areas, brands, or departments within the same organisation.
What you can use the Firm Switcher for
Switching between separate Legl accounts without logging out
Accessing workflows, requests, and client data across multiple accounts from a single login
Reducing time and friction for users who regularly work across more than one firm account
How the Firm Switcher works
When the Firm Switcher is enabled for a user, a switcher control appears in their Legl dashboard. Selecting it shows a list of all the accounts that user has access to. The user selects the account they want to work in and is taken straight there, without needing to enter login credentials again.
Each account operates independently. Data, workflows, and permissions are separate per account, and a user's access level on each account is configured individually at the point of setup.
Where to find the Firm Switcher in Legl
Once enabled, the Firm Switcher is accessible from your Legl dashboard. A switcher control will display the accounts you have access to. Select the account you want to work in and you will be taken there directly.
Permissions and access
The Firm Switcher is not enabled by default. It is set up by the Legl support team on a per-user basis.
To request access, contact our Support team with the details of the accounts to be linked and the users who need access. When setting up the switcher, the team will confirm:
Which accounts each user can switch between
Whether the user has admin access on each account
Important information
The Firm Switcher is only available to firms with more than one Legl account that have been linked by the Legl support team.
Each user must be individually enabled. Enabling one user does not automatically grant access to others at the firm.
Access permissions and admin rights can differ between accounts and are configured separately for each user.
If the switcher is not visible after being set up, contact our Support team.
