Overview

The Engage Billing dashboard in Legl Insights provides a line-by-line breakdown of completed Engage requests. It is designed to help your firm reconcile invoices, track disbursements, and understand usage by department or workflow.

What you can use the Engage Billing dashboard for

  • View a detailed breakdown of completed Engage requests, including workflow name, department, and date completed

  • Filter usage data by date range, matter reference, or client reference

  • Export billing data as a CSV or Excel file for use in invoice reconciliation or disbursement tracking

  • Identify which team members or departments are generating the most Engage activity

How the Engage Billing dashboard works

The dashboard displays a table of completed Engage requests, with one row per request. Each row includes: Firm Name, Legl Reference, Client Company Name, Client Reference, Matter Reference, Created By Name, Department, Date Completed, and Workflow Name.

You can filter the table by date range, matter reference, or client reference, then select Apply filter to update the results. The dashboard defaults to the previous 30 days. Once filtered, you can export the data as a CSV or Excel file.

ℹ️ Important

Changing the date range alone does not refresh the data. You must select Apply filter after changing the filters for the results to update. This is the most common reason usage reports do not match expected figures.

Where to find the Engage Billing dashboard

Select Insights from the left-hand navigation in Legl, then select Engage Billing.

Important information

  • The dashboard defaults to the previous 30 days

  • The Engage Billing dashboard is a reporting view only. You cannot manage or action requests from within Insights
