Overview

The Integration Settings page is a centralised area in Legl where you can view and manage all of your firm's integrations, API connections, and webhook configurations.

The Integration Settings page brings these controls into the platform so your admin users can manage them directly.

What you can use the Integration Settings page for

  • Set up and manage native integrations with ActionStep, Clio, and NetDocuments

  • View and manage API keys for custom or third-party integrations

  • Configure webhooks to receive event notifications from Legl

  • Set up deep links to connect Legl actions with your practice management system

How the Integration Settings page works

The page is organised into sections for each type of integration or connection. From here, you can:

Native integrations: Connect your firm to ActionStep, Clio, or NetDocuments. Each integration has its own setup flow with guided steps.

API keys: Generate and manage API keys for firms using non-native or custom integrations. These keys allow external systems to communicate with Legl's API.

Webhooks: Configure webhook endpoints to receive real-time notifications when events happen in Legl (for example, when an Engage request is completed or a risk assessment is submitted).

Deep links: Set up deep links that allow actions in your practice management system to open specific pages or workflows in Legl.

Where to find the Integration Settings page in Legl

Go to Settings in the left-hand navigation, then select Integrations.

Permissions and access

  • Admin users can view and configure all integration settings, including connecting new integrations, generating API keys, and managing webhooks.

  • All users can view the Integration Settings page to see which integrations are active, but cannot make changes.

Important information

  • Only admin users can make changes to integration settings. If you need to set up or modify an integration and do not have admin access, contact your firm's Legl administrator.

  • For native integrations (ActionStep, Clio, NetDocuments), detailed setup guides are available in the Help Centre. The Integration Settings page links to the relevant guide for each integration.

  • If you are using a custom integration via the API, refer to the Legl API documentation for endpoint details and implementation guidance.
