1. Request API access
Ask an Admin user to email [email protected] with the subject “API Setup Request”.
The email should include:
A request to enable API access for your firm
The email address for a new “Service User”, which will be created specifically for API authentication
This Service User is used only for API activity and keeps your operational users separate from system access.
2. Receive your API key
Once the request is processed, Legl Support will:
Create the Service User
Share the API key with the Admin requester
Provide the link to the API authentication method in our API documentation
Keep the API key secure - it should not be shared or stored in unsecured locations.
3. Using the API
Any request made using the API key will be attributed to the Service User created for your integration.
If at any point you need the API key to be refreshed or replaced, please contact [email protected].
