Overview
By default, Legl Pay accepts standard domestic card payments. If your firm works with overseas clients, you can enable AMEX, European, and international card types to ensure clients can pay regardless of where they are based. All payments are settled to your firm in GBP.
How this works
When additional card types are enabled, clients see the eligible options at checkout and can select the card that suits them. Payments are processed securely through Legl's payment processing partner and settled to your firm via the standard twice-daily transfer schedule.
Admins can enable or disable specific card types from Settings > Pay. Payment limits can also be updated here. Changes take effect immediately.
What triggers this
A client can only use an international or AMEX card at checkout if your firm Admin has enabled that card type in Settings > Pay. Without this, only standard card types are available.
What you will see
Once enabled, all transactions, including those made with international cards, appear in your Pay dashboard alongside domestic payments. You can filter, search, and export payment data from this screen.
Important information

All payments are settled to your firm in GBP, regardless of the client's card currency.
