In this article we will cover:

Check if the client was able to successfully submit their request

Once the client has completed all the steps on their request, they should see a 'Submit' button at the bottom, which sends the completed request back to law firm's Legl account. If successfully submitted, they should also see the screen below and receive an email notification confirming it has been submitted. The assigned reviewer at the firm will also receive an email notification that the request is ready for review.

Access the client's unique link to view any incomplete steps

You can check the client's request link to see if they have submitted all the information needed (the screen should read "This request is closed"), or whether they still need to provide some further information/complete a step somewhere in the process.

  1. Navigate to their request in your Legl account.

  2. Select the three-dot icon to the right of their request.

  3. Select Copy Link.

  4. Paste the link into your browser to see where in the flow the client is (completed steps are typically greyed out).

  5. You can then communicate to the client any steps that appear to be incomplete and ask that they review and complete any outstanding steps.

Access the Force Complete preview screen

Another way to see which steps have been logged as successfully submitted, is by using the Force Complete button to preview the individual steps.

  1. Navigate to the request within your Legl account.

  2. Select the three-dot icon to the right of the request.

  3. Select Force Complete and you will be presented with a similar screen as below, which shows complete/incomplete steps of your workflow.

4. If all steps are displaying as complete, or the steps they have completed so far are sufficient, you can use the red Force complete button to retrieve all the completed information. Important: doing this will close the link and the client will not be able to continue completing it. Please visit our guide to learn more about using Force complete.

FAQs and troubleshooting

My client confirms they clicked the Submit button, but it's still showing with status 'In Progress'?

If this has occurred, please contact our Support team on [email protected] (or use the live chat bubble on the bottom right of this screen) and they will be able to investigate this further for you.

The force complete preview is showing all steps as complete, but the status is still showing as 'In Progress'?

If you have additional steps included as part of the workflow for the client to complete, that are not shown on the force complete preview screen (e.g. additional Proof of Address), we recommend checking the client's link to see if any such steps are outstanding. If nothing appears to be outstanding on the client's link, please contact our Support team on [email protected] (or use the live chat bubble on the bottom right of this screen) and they will be able to investigate this further for you.
