Note: Inviting new users and managing their permissions can only be actioned by Legl users with "Admin" access.

Legl Admins can invite new users to Legl and manage the team's assigned departments, roles and access permissions.

Inviting new users to Legl

To invite one or more new users to your Legl account, you will simply need their email address(s) and to follow the steps below:

  1. Log into your Legl account: https://account.legl.com/

  2. Navigate to Settings > Team from the left-hand menu.

  3. Select Add users from the top right.

  4. Enter one or multiple email addresses (separated by a comma), followed by Invite.

Your invitees will receive an email from Legl with the subject "Your Account Invite", including a link for them to "Create and log into" their Legl account. As an Admin, you will now also be able to manage each individual user's permissions - please see the steps below.

Invitees not received their account creation email? Recommend that they check their Junk/Spam folders. You may also need to check with your IT team that the Legl domain "@legl.com" has been whitelisted.

Managing user permissions

There are separate permission settings available for both Engage and Pay features in Legl.

Firm Admin permissions

Admins have access to everything within Legl, including the following Settings tabs:

  • Bank accounts: review and add new bank accounts.

  • Team: add new users and manage their assigned roles, departments and permissions.

  • Departments: select the departments you wish to be able to restrict workflows to and that your users can select when creating their Legl accounts.

To set a user as an Admin, simply toggle Firm Admin to green (toggle to grey to disable).

Engage permissions

  • Product enabled: determine whether a user can access all of the Engage features.

  • Business onboarding: determine whether a user can access and run company reports within the Engage > Business tab.

  • Engage insights: determine whether a user can access the Insights > Engage tabs.

  • View MLRO oversight: determine whether a user can access the Insights > MLRO Oversight tab.

Pay permissions

  • Product enabled: determine whether a user can access all of the Pay features.

  • View all payments: determine whether a user can view payments that they did not create/request themselves.

  • Pay insights: determine whether a user can access the Insights > Pay tab.

  • [Finance] View all transfers and payments: determine whether a user can access the Transfers tab.

Deactivating users

To deactivate a user from logging into your Legl account, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Team.

  2. Locate an active user you wish to deactivate and select the Update button.

  3. Select Deactivate. This user will no longer be able to log into Legl.

You can reactivate a user anytime by locating the inactive user > select Update > followed by Activate.

To remove a user from your Legl account entirely, please contact our Support team via the live chat icon, or via [email protected] and they will be able to action this for you. Please note, the removal of a user will need to be authorised by a Legl Admin.
