Every client you engage with through Legl has a entities profile. Here you can find detailed information about your client, and insight into their interactions with your firm.

To update any details, select the information you need to change and click edit. You can also view a change history to see when their information was last updated.

How to update a contact’s email address

To update the email address for an entity in Legl, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Entities Section:

    • Navigate to the 'Entities' section in your Legl dashboard.

  2. Locate the Specific Entity:

    • Use the search function to find the entity whose email address you wish to update.

  3. Edit the Email Address:

    • Hover over the entity's current email address and click 'Edit'.

    • Enter the new email address and click 'Submit'.

Important Considerations:

  • Open Requests:

    • When you update an entity's email address, any open requests associated with that entity will be automatically closed and recreated with the new email details. This ensures that all outstanding pay or engage requests use the correct contact information.

  • Resending Requests:

    • After updating the email address, the recreated requests will need to be resent to the entity.

    • To do this, go to 'Recent Activities', select the relevant request, and click 'Send email'.

    • You can also enable reminders to automatically follow up with the entity after 1, 3, 7, 14, and 30 days.
