Overview
If a contact appears on your Compliance overview as an unconfirmed PEP, sanctions, or adverse media result, you can edit and re-confirm their Watchlist Screening results directly from the contact record.
This is useful where a screening result shows as unconfirmed even though it has already been reviewed, for example because the review was completed before the confirm or decline workflow was introduced, or this was missed during the review process.
Confirming the result removes the contact from the unconfirmed section of your Compliance overview. You can also use these steps to amend or update a Watchlist Screening decision that has already been reviewed.
Before you start
You need Admin or MLRO permissions to confirm Watchlist Screening results. Standard users do not have access to this functionality.
How to confirm unconfirmed Watchlist Screening results
Go to Insights, then MLRO Oversight. If you see View new dashboard, select it.
Select the name of the contact whose watchlist result is unconfirmed. You can also go to Contacts and open the contact.
On the contact page, find PEP status or Sanctions status marked Unconfirmed, then select Update status. This opens the CDD report.
Select View full application.
Select Unlock watchlist amendments. A banner confirms the amendments are unlocked. Your changes stay in draft until you confirm them with a reason.
For each match, select View details to open the Hit Detail panel and review the match. You can add a reviewer comment here.

Mark each match as Match or Not a match.
Select Confirm changes.
Under Reason for amendments, explain why the decisions are being amended.
Select Save changes, or Save changes and update PDF to update the CDD report PDF as well.

What happens next
Once you save your changes, the contact is removed from the unconfirmed section of your Compliance overview.
Your reason for the amendments is logged to the audit trail. Reviewer comments also appear in the Activity tab.
If you need to update the decision again, select Unlock watchlist amendments and repeat the process.
Important information
Only Admins and MLROs can confirm unconfirmed Watchlist Screening results. Standard users do not see Unlock watchlist amendments.
This applies to all watchlist result types: PEPs, sanctions, adverse media, and other result categories.
You must give a reason before you can save amendments. Adding a reviewer comment on each match is optional, but we recommend it for a clear audit trail.
Once confirmed, the contact is removed from the unconfirmed section of the Compliance overview immediately.
You can unlock, amend, and re-confirm a result as many times as needed if a decision changes.
