Workflows are made up of individual steps that clients complete as part of an Engage request. Each step is designed to collect information, documents, verification, or payments in a structured way.

This article explains the steps that can be added to a workflow and when each one is typically used.

Workflow steps you can include

Below is an overview of each workflow step available in Legl:

CDD report

Digital identity checks used to verify an individual’s identity and support the firm in making a risk-based assessment. Firms can choose from a variety of different report types.

Source of Funds

A step-by-step form used to collect all sources of funds from an individual. This helps meet anti-money laundering requirements and the expectations of mortgage lenders.

Send a document

Allows you to send a document to an individual as part of a workflow. You can optionally require the individual to agree to the document before continuing.

Request a document

Used to request documents from an individual. You can specify a title and description to clearly explain which files the individual needs to upload.

Request signature(s)

Allows you to request an electronic signature on a document from one or multiple parties.

Payment request

Used to request a payment from an individual. You can specify the payment amount and the bank account the payment should be paid into.

Customisable form

Allows you to send a form to capture additional information from your clients. These forms can be tailored to collect firm-specific details.

Proof of address

Used to request proof of address documentation from individuals when additional address verification is required beyond standard identity checks.

How these steps work together

Workflow steps can be combined and ordered to create workflows that match your firm’s processes.

  • Steps can be reordered to control the sequence in which clients complete them

  • Multiple steps can be used within a single workflow

  • Some steps may require additional configuration before use

Important information

  • Only users with Administrator access can add or configure workflow steps

  • Some workflow steps may incur additional fees once completed by the client

  • Workflow visibility and usage can be restricted to specific departments
