✨ What is Bulk Ongoing Monitoring Disable?
This tool allows your law firm to disable monitoring for multiple individuals or businesses in one go - ideal for situations where monitoring is no longer required.
👤 Disabling Monitoring for Individuals (Contacts)
Step 1: Download Your Contact List
You can reach out to the Support Team and we can provide you with a report of all your contacts within Legl securely.
Step 2: Prepare Your CSV File
Use the following headers (exactly as shown, case-sensitive):
first_name,last_name,email,date_of_birth,client_reference,matter_reference
Please note:
While client_reference and matter_reference are optional fields, including them is strongly recommended as they significantly improve the accuracy of matching during the bulk disable process.
CSV Requirements
File format: CSV (comma-separated)
Date format: YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. 1985-05-15)
Valid email format
Sample CSV:
first_name,last_name,email,date_of_birth,client_reference,matter_reference John,Doe,[email protected],1980-01-01,CLIENT001,MATTER001
Step 3: How Matching Works
The system matches contacts using at least 3 of the 6 fields:
Matching score: 1 point per matched field
Match required: Minimum 3 points
Case-insensitive text matches
Exact match on date of birth
If we are unable to disable any contacts due to the matching convention, we will provide you with a report to allow you to disable manually or provide us with further details.
🏢 Disabling Monitoring for Businesses
Step 1: Prepare Your CSV File
Use the following headers (exactly as shown, case-sensitive):
name,registration_number,client_reference,matter_reference
CSV Requirements
File format: CSV (comma-separated)
All fields are text format
Sample CSV:
name,registration_number,client_reference,matter_reference Acme Corp Ltd,12345678,CLIENT001,MATTER001
Step 2: How Matching Works
The system matches businesses using at least 2 of the 4 fields:
1 point per matched field
Highest score wins if multiple matches
Case-insensitive text matches
Advanced matching for
matter_referenceincluding KYB reports
⬆️ How to Upload Your CSV File
To request a bulk monitoring disable, please:
Prepare your CSV file using the required format (see above).
Share your CSV securely with the Legl Support Team via the first sheet shared or by using your preferred secure file transfer method.
In your message, clearly state when you would like the monitoring to be disabled.
Once received, the Support Team will process this on your behalf and confirm once completed.
