Getting started with Adyen as a Sole Proprietor

This guide helps sole proprietors onboard with Adyen by providing steps for entering details, verifying accounts, and submitting documents.

Step 1: Begin Onboarding

  1. Navigate to Company Structure

    • Go to the Company Structure section.

  2. Select Bank Account Details

    • At the bottom of the page, locate the section titled “We need to know about the bank account...”.

    • Choose the option “My Name” from the dropdown menu.

    • Click the "Next" button (bottom right).

  3. Individual Confirmation

    • A new screen will appear asking if you are an individual.

    • Click the “Continue as individual” button.

Step 2: Connect as a Sole Proprietor

  1. Enter Personal Details

    • Complete all the required personal details on the new screen.

    • At the bottom, find the dropdown box titled “We need to know about the bank account...”.

    • This time, select the option “My sole proprietor name”.

    • Click the "Next" button.

  2. Enter Address Details

    • Complete the address details on the following screen.

    • Click "Next".

  3. Submit Details

    • Review the summary screen.

    • Click "Submit".

Step 3: Sole Proprietor Flow

  1. Access Sole Proprietor Details

    • You will be redirected to a new screen that includes an option for “Sole proprietor details” at the top.

    • Click this option to launch the sole proprietor flow.

  2. Complete Sole Proprietor Details

    • Fill in the necessary details as prompted.

By following these steps, you will complete the onboarding process for a sole proprietor.
