Every client you engage with through Legl has a contact profile. Here you can find detailed information about your client, and insight into their interactions with your firm.
If a contact's information is incorrect or has changed, you can update their details from within the contact profile.
To update any details, select the information you need to change and click edit. You can also view a change history to see when their information was last updated.
How to update a contact’s email address
When editing the contact’s email address, any open requests will automatically be closed and recreated for the new contact details. This is to ensure that your contact’s correct details are being used for any outstanding pay or engage requests.
You will be notified if there are any open requests when editing the email address. You can also review any open requests for your client under the Activity tab in their contact profile.
Please follow the steps below to edit a contacts email address:
Go to Contacts
Search for the contact
Hover your mouse over the clients email address and click edit
Enter the new email address and click Submit
The open requests will automatically be closed and recreated for the new contact details. The recreated request will then need to be resent or re-shared with your contact.
Any recreated requests can be reviewed under Recent Activities.
To send the re-created request to your client, click View then Send email. You can also choose to enable reminders to automatically follow-up with clients after 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 days.
The request will then be emailed to your contact using the new email address provided.
