This article provides pre-written external email templates to help law firms introduce Legl to their clients. It is designed to support client communication during launch, reassuring clients about digital onboarding, identity verification, and regulatory compliance.

The templates can be copied, edited and sent to any of your clients as needed, to ensure they are informed and excited about Legl.

Example “getting started” messages within Legl workflows

You can personalise the emails sent to your clients when a KYC invitation or engagement report is issued. These emails request that clients complete the information you require and can be customised to reflect your firm’s branding, tone, and messaging.

In order to meet our obligations under the Money Laundering Regulations, we are required to run identity checks on new clients. Once you have completed this client onboarding process, we will review the documents submitted and be in touch with the next steps.

Second example "getting started" message


Thank you for instructing [law firm name].

In accordance with current anti-money laundering requirements, each client must provide us with proof of identification in the form of a government issued photo ID. If you cannot supply this please contact us.

Acceptable Photo ID includes:

  • Current Passport

  • Photocard Driving Licence

  • Residency Card (if applicable)

We aim to make it as easy and secure for you as possible to provide us with these documents, and you can do so using our online platform. Simply click on the link below saying “Get Started” and follow the instructions.

We advise that you complete this using a smart device, as you will be required to upload photographs of your documents.
